Looking for a unique language experience in Canada?

The Collège Nordique francophone is the only school to offer the Explore program north of the 60th parallel, in a breathtaking setting: Northwest Territories, where French is one of 11 official languages and is widely spoken in an exceptional cultural environment.

With classes limited to fewer than 10 people, you’ll benefit from personalized support and a dynamic approach inspired by Northern culture, enabling you to immerse yourself in an authentic, unique environment.

But the adventure doesn’t end there! It continues with workshops on Indigenous languages and cultures, outdoor activities, and cultural evenings brought to life by the magic of “days without night” and the midnight sun.

The Collège Nordique presents a rare opportunity to learn French while experiencing a social and cultural adventure in an extraordinary natural setting!

Examples of activities:

  • Tlicho language classes
  • Indigenous culture workshops (e.g., beading, tanning, and medicinal herbs)
  • Boreal forest hiking with a visit to Cameron Falls
  • Canoe trip
  • Water activities (pool and northern beach)

What makes our program special and unique?

  • Only Explore program in Northern Canada
  • Small groups (fewer than 10 participants)
  • Outdoor activities
  • Option to choose a specialization stream: “Arts and Self-Expression” or “The North and Indigenous Cultures”
  • Very vibrant cultural and community life, with major events and festivals taking place during the program, including Folk on the Rocks
